Women Cell

Women Cell in GCW Lakhan Majra, Rohtak work on the motto of, “Educate and Empower” the girls of the nation. The cell organizes guest lectures, workshops, awareness, and training programmes on regular basis to equip them with wide range of skills and knowledge for the betterment of self and society. The girl students get the opportunity to excel in their skills through various competitions and celebrations. International Women’s Day is celebrated every year to acknowledge the women’s role in the society. Objectives • To create awareness among the students about their social, legal, and constitutional rights to prevent the exploitation based on gender. • To eliminate under esteem, deep rooted beliefs of gender bias and discrimination. • To empower the status of women through education, awareness, and training. • To conduct awareness and training programmes about their health benefits and self-defence. • To make girl students cognizant about different kinds of violence: sexual, physical and mental and to further equip them with the knowledge and strength to fight against them.
