4. Procedure for Filing RTI Application

·         RTI applications may be filed through the Haryana RTI Online Portal.

·         The applicant shall provide the required personal/contact details and clearly specify the information sought.

·         The prescribed RTI application fee is ₹10/-, wherever applicable.

·         BPL applicants are exempt from payment of the application fee, subject to applicable rules and submission of valid BPL proof.

·         After submission, the applicant should retain the acknowledgement/registration number for future reference and tracking.

·         Where required, the application may be transferred to the concerned Public Authority/SPIO in accordance with the RTI Act.

·         If the applicant does not receive information within the prescribed period or is aggrieved by the decision of the SPIO, a First Appeal may be filed before the FAA through the applicable Haryana RTI mechanism.

·         Further remedy by way of Second Appeal/Complaint shall be available before the competent Information Commission in accordance with the RTI Act and applicable rules.
