Hindi Diwas Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra

Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra, Rohtak, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and fervour. On this occasion, an Inter-College Essay Writing and Quiz Competition was organized by the Department of Hindi under the able guidance and direction of the Principal, Mrs. Indu Sapra.
The programme commenced with an address by the Principal, Mrs. Indu Sapra. While addressing the students, she emphasized that “We should celebrate Hindi Diwas every day” and encouraged everyone to use Hindi extensively in their day-to-day communication and official work. She stated that Hindi is a language through which we express our emotions and feelings and that it keeps us connected with our sensitivities and cultural values. She further highlighted that Hindi is not only our mother tongue but also an important symbol of India's rich culture, literature, and national unity.
During the programme, students participated enthusiastically in the various competitions. The Essay Writing Competition was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Madhu Bala and Dr. Poonam. Sneha (B.A. First Year) secured the first position, Tanisha (M.A. Second Year) secured the second position, and Bharti (M.A. Second Year) secured the third position.
The Quiz Competition was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Madhu Bala, Dr. Baljeet Kaur, and Mrs. Sumit. Team 2 secured the first position, Team 1 secured the second position, and Team 6 secured the third position.
A total of 46 students participated enthusiastically in the two competitions. At the conclusion of the programme, Principal Mrs. Indu Sapra felicitated the students who demonstrated outstanding performance and active participation in the competitions.
In the concluding session, Dr. Balram, Head of the Department of Hindi, expressed his gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, participants, and all staff members for their valuable support and cooperation in making the programme successful.
The programme was compered by the M.A. Hindi Second Year students.
On this occasion, Mrs. Anita Amani, Dr. Anjali Mann, Dr. Satya Prakash, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Pradeep Mann, Mr. Joginder Ahlawat, Mr. Parveen Punia, Mr. Arun Kumar, Mr. Sachin Dalal, and other staff members of the college were present.
