Training Programme on Mental Health and Well-being Organized at Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra

A special training programme on the mental health and well-being of students in higher education institutions was organized by the Department of Psychology at Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra, for teaching and non-teaching staff.
The programme commenced with an address by the Principal of the college, Mrs. Indu Sapra. She described mental health as an important foundation for the holistic development of students and emphasized the importance of a healthy and positive educational environment.
Dr. Bhumika Dahiya, Head of the Department of Psychology, addressed the teaching staff and highlighted the importance of identifying signs of stress, anxiety and emotional difficulties among students and providing timely support and guidance. She appealed to teachers to adopt a sensitive and supportive approach towards students.
For the non-teaching staff, Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, conducted a training session on mental health and well-being. The session included discussions on stress management and the importance of a positive workplace environment.
The programme emphasized the important role of every staff member in creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for students. All teaching and non-teaching staff members were present on the occasion.
