Plant Adoption and Oath-Taking Campaign Organised at Government Women’s College, Lakhan Majra

A Plant Adoption and Oath-Taking Campaign was organised at Government Women’s College, Lakhan Majra, Rohtak, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness, plant conservation and the development of a greener campus.
The programme was jointly organised by the Eco Club and the Social Outreach Committee under the overall guidance of Principal Indu Sapra. The event was coordinated by Dr. Pradeep Mann and Parveen Punia.
During the programme, Principal Indu Sapra administered an oath to the students and faculty members, encouraging them to adopt plants and take responsibility for their protection, regular watering and proper care. Faculty members actively participated by adopting plants and committing themselves to their continued maintenance.
To ensure regular monitoring, the adopted plants were tagged for identification and continuous observation of their growth and well-being. The initiative aims to develop a sense of responsibility among students and staff towards the plants within the college campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Indu Sapra emphasised that environmental conservation does not end with planting a tree; its regular care, protection and nurturing are equally important. She encouraged students and staff to make plant conservation a continuous practice and contribute towards creating a greener and healthier campus.
The campaign concluded with the inspiring message:
